When getting a new car quote, there’s a couple of things you want to keep in mind.

The first is where are you going to get the quote from?  The traditional method is to go to a dealership and discuss it directly with them… now, while this might be a good way to do it, it does take a fair bit of time, often as much as a few hours.  Now, you do get to negotiate straight with the dealer to get a better quote on your new car, but even with this benefit, you still might be better off trying out some other ways.

Another way you might want to consider, is to go about getting a new car quote online.

Essentially what you are doing here, is finding out the cost of the vehicle you are looking for at pre-negotiated prices.  What this means, is that certain websites have already negotiated with the dealerships the very best possible price they can do, and used that as a bench mark.

Now, why would a dealership willingly reduce the price of their cars for these types of sites?  It’s simple, there is less work involved for them.  A dealership on average will spend about 40-60 minutes with each ‘involved’ customer that is looking for a new car, this doesn’t include the cost of taking a car for a test drive etc.  So by effectively reducing these costs, the dealership can offer a great quote on a new car.
